Neighborhood - Redwood Heights

Redwood Heights is a diverse residential neighborhood in the hills of Oakland. It is centered on Redwood Road, which was once a logging road. It includes Award Winning (9/10greatschools.org) Redwood Heights Elementary School (Three Blocks Away) and a recreation center that doubles as an after-school daycare. The community loves the Redwood Heights Recreation Center because it offers a great range of programs for tots, teens, and kids in-between, as well as adults - it is used by locals of all ages for weekend gatherings and classes including dance, cooking, karate and SUMMER MOVIES. In fact, the park at the Rec Center is under development to be an incredible park of bocce ball, pickle ball & basketball courts, swings, skateboard area and lawn. The homes in Redwood Heights date mainly from the 1920s-1950s and vary greatly in style, from craftsman, to "storybook," to midcentury ranch; the first development in the area was Avenue Terrace.
